Answer:

Dust comes out because of inertia as the dust wants to stay at rest but after beaten with sticks it comes out.

Luggage also want to maintain it's state of inertia.

Explanation:

a. When the carpet is beaten with a stick, the stick exerts a force on the carpet which sets it in motion. The inertia of the dust particles residing on the carpet resists the change in the motion of the carpet. ... This is why the dust comes out of the carpet when beaten.

b. A luggage is usually tied with a rope on the roof of buses. When a moving bus suddenly stops, the luggage on its roof tends to continue in the state of motion due to inertia of motion. Hence the luggage fall down from the roof of the bus.

c . A bowler runs a long distance before bowling because it wants to give speed to the ball and hence, momentum. After running the distance, when the bowler leaves the ball on reaching the line, he imparts the momentum gained by running to the ball.
