Bhoodan Andholan is also known as the Bloodless Revolution. It was initiated by Acharya Vinobe Bhave, who was proclaimed the spiritual heir of Gandiji. After Gandhiji's martyrdom, Acharya Vinobe Bhave travelled all around India to propagate the ideas of Gandhiji.
a) While delivering a speech in Pochampali in Andhra Pradesh, a group of landless villagers came to him, demanding land for their well being.
b) Acharya Vinobe Bhave said he couldn't promise them land but would talk to the government.
c) A man Chandra Reddy came up and donated 80 acres of land to the 80 landless people. This is known as Gramdhan.
d) Many other rich landlords started donated a part of their fienlds to the poor too but mostly out of fear of the land ceiling act.
These actions collectively are known as the Gram Bhoodan Movement
