1. Nutrients are the components of food that help us to grow, repair wounds etc. Eg- carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals. The mode taking food in and its utilisation by body is call nutrition.

2. (roughly made).

3. Take a healthy leaf. Boil it in alchol to remove chlorophyll . Put some drops of idodine solution. The colour will change to blue - black showing the presence of starch.

4. The mode of nutrition in which organisms are dependent upon others for their food is called hetrotrophic mode of nutrition. Eg - Pitcher plant grows in the soil where the it is deficient in nitrogen and aunties depended upon the insects to fulfil requirement of Nitrogen.

5. (roughly made). as any insect sits on the Pitcher plant its suddenly closes its lid and the hair like structure pushes down the insect in the digestive juices and the digestive juices slowly slowly digest the insect.

6. lichens are the combination of algae and fungus. fungus provides shelter to the algae and as it is green in colour it makes the food and share it was the fungus.

7. plants need nutrient which is the nitrogen and by planting leguminous plants like Peas and any of the pulses replenishes the requirement of Nitrogen in the soil. as we all know that leguminous plants have Bacteria known as rhizobium that lives in the root nodules of any of the leguminous plants. rhizobium bacteria absorbs or captures the nitrogen from the atmosphere and replenishes nitrogen in the soil.
