Various forms of government are:

Democracy: The government is elected by the people by voting. People in a democratic governement have the freedom of speech and expression and can criticise the government. Examples: India and USA

Monarchy: In monarchy, the state is ruled by the monarch or the king. He is the absolute head of the state. In this system, a single family rule the state. People do not have the freedom of speech and expression. Example: Saudi Arabia.

Oligarchy: It is a form of government in which all power resides with a few people or in a dominant class or group within the society. Sometimes, oligarchy governemnts are controlled by a few families who pass their power from one generation to next.

Dictatorial: In thsi type of government, generally a person rules over the state. He is absolutist and a dictator. People of the country cannot criticise a dictator. Example: Hitler was a dictator in Germany from 1933 till 1945.
