The lives of these nomadic tribes depend on the animals. Drinking water and fodder for the animals is not available at any one place for the whole year, so they prefer to move from one place to another place annually. However, as long as pasture is available at one place, they remain there, but when the pasture is over, they move to another new place.

The advantages to the environment of this continuous movement:-

• It offers nomadic tribes the opportunity to do many things such as farming, animal husbandry and trade.

• Their animals help in providing fertilizer to the soil.

• Due to constant movement, the vegetation of a single place is not heavily exploited. And the quality of pastures remains.

• Fertility of the land is maintained by frequent re-location.
