1) express 2310 as a product of prime factors.also see how your friends have factorized the number.have they done it as you?verify your final product with your friends result.try this for 3 or 4 more numbers.what do u conclude?

2) find the HCF and LCM of the following given pairs of numbers by prime factorization.
i) 120,90 ii)50,60 iii)37,49

Hi ,

i ) my method of prime  factorizing  2310

   2310 = 2 × 3 × 5 × 7 × 11

ii ) my friend did the same problem like this .[ factor tree ]

        2310

           / \
          2  1155
                  / \
                 3  385

                          / \
                         5  77
                              / \
                             7  11

Therefore,

2310 = 2 ×3 × 5 × 7 × 11

I conclude that , finding methods are different but answer is same.

2 ) Find HCF and LCM of 120 , 90

120 =  2 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 5 = 2³ × 3 × 5

  90 =  2 × 3 × 3 × 5 = 2 × 3² × 5

HCF ( 120 , 90 ) = 2 × 3 × 5 = 30

LCM ( 120 , 90 ) = 2 × 3 × 5 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 360

3 ) find the HCF and LCM of 50 , 60

  50 = 2 × 5 × 5

  60 = 2 × 2 × 3 × 5

HCF ( 50 , 60 ) = 2 × 5 = 10

LCM ( 50 , 60 ) = 2 × 5 × 5 × 2 × 3 = 300

3 ) Find the HCF and LCM of 37 , 49

  37 = 37

  49 = 7 × 7

HCF ( 37 , 49 ) = 1

LCM ( 37 , 49 ) = 37 × 49 = 1813

I hope this helps you.
