1) 16 - (x)² - (y)² + 2xy
= (4)² - (x² + y² - 2xy)
= (4)² - (x- y)²
= (4 + x - y) [4 - (x - y)]
= (4 + x - y) (4 - x + y)
2) Let the Principle be Rs x.
S. I. = PRT / 100
= (x * 5 * 3) / 100
= 15x / 100
= 3x / 20
Amount = Principle + S. I.
410 = x + (3x / 20)
410 = 20x / 20 + 3x / 20
410 = 23x / 20
410 * 20 = 23x
8200 = 23x
x = 8200 / 23
x = Rs 356.52
= (4)² - (x² + y² - 2xy)
= (4)² - (x- y)²
= (4 + x - y) [4 - (x - y)]
= (4 + x - y) (4 - x + y)
