(iv) His other problems (paled) into insignificance besides this unforeseen mishap.  (v) The meeting was (chaired) by the youngest member of the board.   (vi) Some people say 'yours (truly)' when they informally refer themselves.   (vii) I wish it had been a (draw) match.
