1: Find a relation between x and y such that the point (x, y) is equidistant from the points (7, 1) and (3, 5). Q.2: If the point A (0, 2) is equidistant from the points B (3, p) and C (p, 5), find p. Also find the length of AB.

1) let the point A = 7,1

let the point B = x,y

let the point c = 3,5

formula to find out the mid point is :

x= x1 +x2÷2

y=y1+ y2÷2

here x1 = 7 ; x2 = 3

y1 = 1 ; y2 = 5

so , x = 7+3 ÷ 2 = 5

y = 1+5 ÷ 2 = 3

hence , x = 5

y = 3
