SOLUTION :-

(a) the amount 6% more than Rs.120

First, find 6% of Rs 120

= \frac{6}{100} \times 120

= Rs 7.2

Now,

Add 6% of Rs 120 to Rs 120

= Rs 7.2 + Rs 120

= Rs 127.2

\therefore Rs 127.2 is more than Rs 120

(b) the amount 15% less than Rs 400

First, find 15% of Rs 400

= \frac{15}{100} \times 400

= Rs 60

Now,

Subtract  15% of Rs 400 to Rs 400

= Rs 400 - Rs 60

= Rs 340

\therefore Rs 340 is less than Rs 400
