There are different types of soils concerning particulate matter and Ph:-
- Sandy soil- Sandy soil contains more than 60% of sand and clay. It contains very little silt so it is porous. The water-building capacity of this soil is very poor. Eg:- Melon, Coconut, etc.
- Clayey Soil- Clayey soil consists of very fine particles of clay. Its water holding capacity is very high. Clayey soil is rich in organic matter. Eg; paddy
- Loamy soil- Loamy soil consists of sand, silt, and clay. It contains enough humus. It has a good water holding capacity. Eg-wheat , sugarcane
