Answer:

2) Area of trapezium=1/2× sum of parallel sides× perpendicular distance

Parallel sides= 1 and 1.2m

Perpendicular distance=0.8m

So,

Area=1/2×(1+1.2)×0.8

          =1.1×0.8

          =0.88m2

\huge  \sf\underline\red{Question \: 1)}

Find The Area of Trapezium ABCD given above in figure.

\huge \sf\underline\red{Solution}

 \sf \blue {\:Area  \: of  \: Trapezium}

 \bf \pink {=  \frac{1}{2}  \times (AB+DC) \times DM}

 \bf \pink{ =  \frac{1}{2} (10 + 5) \times 6cm {}^{2} }

  \bf  \pink{  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 15 \times 6cm {}^{2} }

 \sf \blue{→Area  \: of  \: Trapezium =45 cm {}^{2} }

\huge  \sf\underline\red{Question</strong><strong> </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>:</strong><strong> </strong><strong> </strong><strong>2</strong><strong>)</strong><strong>}

The shape of the top surface of a table is a trapezium. find its area if its parallel sides are 1 m and 1.2 m and perpendicular distance between them is 0.8m.

\huge \sf\underline\red{Solution}

 \sf \blue{ Let  \: a \: =1m , b=1.2m ,c=0.8m}

As Shown in Attachment Above ⬆️

 \sf \blue {\:Area  \: of  \: Trapezium}

  \bf \pink{\frac{1}{2} (a + b )\times h}

 \bf  \pink{=   \frac{1}{2} (1  + 1.2) \times 0.8m {}^{2} }

 \bf \pink  {\frac{1}{2}  \times 2.2 \times .0.8m {}^{2} }

  \bf \pink{ = 1.1 \times 0.8m {}^{2} }

 \sf \blue{→ \: Area  \: of \:  Trapezium= 0.88m}

 \sf\underline\red{Hope \:  It  \: Helps  \: You! }
