1. Find the arithmetic mean of first 5 natural numbers.

⟹ • First 5 natural numbers - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

• To find,

arithmetic \: mean \:  =  \:  \frac{sum \: of \: given \: no.}{total \: numbers}

Applying the formula,

arith \: mean \:  =  \:  \frac{1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5}{5}

   \frac{15}{5}   =  \: 3

2. What is the probability of getting 6 when a dice is thrown?

⟹ {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

▪︎Total no. = 6

▪︎Favourable = 1

probability \:  =  \:  \frac{favourable \: no.}{total \: no.}  =  \:  \frac{1}{6}

Probability of getting 6 = 1/6 Ar

4. The marks of 5 students in an exam is given as 16.9.22,18,25. Find the median.

⟹ Marks of 5 students = 16, 9, 22, 18, 25

Here, we have to arrange these Marks in Ascending order - 9, 16, 18, 22, 25

median \:  =  \:  \frac{n + 1}{2} th \:

median \:  =  \:  \frac{5 + 1}{2} \:  =  \:  \frac{6}{2}   =  \: 3

median = 3

7. Find out the mean, median and mode for the given data: 4, 5, 3, 5, 9, 10, 7, 2, 0

⟹ sum of no. = 4+5+3+5+9+10+7+2+0 = 45

total numbers = 9

mean \:  =  \:  \frac{45}{9} \:  =  \: 5

Mode : the number which appeared the most.

= 5
