Here,

  • Work hour of Rahul in January = 35 hrs
  • Work hour of Rahul in February = 45 hrs

Since,

  • There is increment in work hour, the work hour has increased by certain percentage.

Let, 35 hrs has increased by x % so as to become 45 hrs.

 \to 35 +  \bigg(35 \times   \frac{x}{100} \bigg) = 45 \\  \\  \to \: 35 +  \frac{35x}{100} = 45  \\  \\  \to \:  \frac{3500 + 35x}{100}  = 45 \\  \\  \to \: 35(100 + x) = 45 \times 100 \\  \\  \to \: 100 + x =  \frac{45 \times 100}{35}  \\  \\  \to  \: 100 + x =  \frac{9 \times 100}{7}  \\  \\ \to \:  x =  \frac{900}{7}  - 100 \\  \\  \to \: x =  \frac{900 - 700}{7}   \\ \\   \to \: x =   \frac{200}{7}   \: =   \red{\sf{28.5 }\:  \%}

Hence,

  • There was increase of 28.5% in work hours.
