2. Find the cost of ploughing field of length 43 m and breadth 37 m at the rate of 5.50 per sq m. ​

(1) Side=15m

$\sf{area = {side}^{2} }$

$\sf{area = 15 \times 15 = 225 {m}^{2} }$

Area of floor=length×Breadth

=225×150=33750m^2

$= \frac{33750}{225} = 150$

So 150 tiles are required.

(2) Area =length×breadth

$= 43 \times 37 = 159 {1m}^{2}$

Cost of ploughing the field= 5.50×1591 = ₹8750.5
