1. In the case of the first figure, here's your solution;

Since the given figure is a rectangle, the formula for its perimeter = 2 ( L + B ); and its area = L x B

Here, L = 7, B =2; therefore, perimeter = 2 ( 7 + 2 ) = 18 centimetres.

Similarly its area = 7 x 2 = 14 centimetres squared ( cm ² ).

2. In the second figure also, we will use the formula for the rectangles, therefore,

Perimeter = 2 ( 8 + 1.5 ) = 19 cm²

Area = 8 x 1.5 = 12.0 cm²
