1- Find the perimeter of a rectangular pentagon each side measuring 4 cm .

2- Five square flower beds each of sides 2m are dug on a piece of land measures 7m long and 6m wide . What is the area of the remaining part of the land ?

1. A pentqgon has 5 sides.

So, perimeter=5×4cm=20cm

2. area of 1 flower bed=2×2=4m^2

area of 5 such beds=5×4=20m^2

area of the piece of land=7×6=42m^2

Therefor, area of the remaining field=42-20=22m^2.
