The minutes hand covers 360∘60=6∘in 1 minutes. Hence, the angle between the hour-hand and the minute-hand of a clock at (1) half-past three in radian is π180×75=5π12Radian. Hence, the angle between the hour-hand and the minute-hand of a clock at (1) half-past three in grade is 7590×100=2503grade.

At 4 o'clock the angle between hour hand and minute hand is 120 degrees.

In a minute, the hour hand moves by half degrees and the minute hand moves by six degrees.

So in 30 minutes the hour hand moves 15 degrees and the minute hand moves 180 degrees.

Therefore, the angle between the hour hand and the minute hand at 4:30 is 

180−120−15=45

45 degrees.
