draw a line ab in which co-ordinates of A[-2,5]:  B[4,-6]:
p[-1,y]       p is any point on ab

             let taking ratio as k:1 ,then
now ,by section formula
                     ==>         -1=4k-2 ÷ k+1
                             =>    -k-1=4k-2
                    =>             -k-4k=-2+1
                       =>       -5k= -1
                 =>                k=-1÷  [-5]
                     =>   k=      1:5
          = >  ratio=   5:1
                               hope it helps you

maani: tx a lot
maani: cud u answer the other one also plzz???
