Step-by-step explanation:

2x^2 - 5x + 3 = 0

multiply the 1st and last term . then you get answer 6

you have to get the middle term ( 5 ) . like this :

2×3 = 6

2+3 = 5 ( here we get 5 the middle term )

2x^2 - 5x + 3 = 0

2x^2 - 2x - 3x + 3 = 0

2x( x - 1 ) - 3( x - 1 )

2x - 3 = 0 ( or ) x - 1 = 0

2x = 3 ( or ) x = 1

x = 3/2

here we write -2x and -3x we want to get -5 . the symbol of 5 is ( - ) . in our process

( - ) × ( - ) = + . so -2x -3x = -5x
