Answer:

Simple Interest= PRT/100

= 5500*14*3/100

= RS. 2310

Amount= simple Interest+ principal

so amount= 2310+5500

= Rs. 7810

Hope it helps

Given,

The principal amount (P) = Rs. 5500

Time (T) = 3 years

Rate (R) = 14% per annum

To find,

The simple interest and the amount after 3 years.

Solution,

We can easily solve this problem by following the given steps.

According to the question,

We have:

The principal amount (P) = Rs. 5500

Time (T) = 3 years

Rate (R) = 14% per annum

We know that the following formula is used to find the simple interest:

SI = Principal×rate×time/100

SI = (5500×14×3)/100

SI = (55×42)

SI = Rs. 2310

The total amount after the interest will be:

A = Simple interest + principal amount

A = Rs. (2310+5500)

A = Rs. 7810

Hence, the simple interest is Rs. 2310 and the total amount is Rs. 7810.
