Resolving 484 as the product of primes, we get

484= 2×2×11×11

root over 484 = root over(2×2×11×11)

= 2×11

Therefore root over 484 = 22 (answer).

(ix) 41616

41616= 2×2×2×2×3×3×17×17

41616= 2^2 × 3^2 × 17^2

root over 41616 = root over 2^2 × 3^2 × 17^2

= 2×2×3×17

=204 (answer)
