there is a formula to calculate it
formula =  \frac{n(n + 1)}{2}
n= numbers
so sum of first 75 positive integers=
 \frac{75(75 + 1)}{2}  \\  = 2850
so sum of first 125 numbers =
 \frac{125(125 + 1)}{2}  \\  = 7875

i ) Sum of the first 75 positive

integers

= 1 + 2 + 3 + ....+ 75

[ Sum of first n natural numbers

= n( n + 1 )/2 ]

= [ 75 ( 75 + 1 ) ]/2

= ( 75 × 76 )/2

= 75 × 38

= 2850

ii ) Sum of first 125 natural numbers

= [ 125( 125 + 1 )]/2

= ( 125 × 126 )/2

= 125 × 63

= 7875
