Given:-
- Length = 14 cm
- Breadth = 10 cm
- Height = 12 cm
Solution:-
We know that Total surface area of a cuboid
= 2( lb + bh + lh )
and
Lateral surface area of cuboid is
= [ 2( l + b ) × h ]
So,
- Total surface area
= 2 ( 14×10 + 10×12 + 14×12 )
= 2 ( 140 + 120 + 168 )
= 2 × 428
= 856cm².
- Lateral surface area
= [2 ( 14 + 10 ) × 12 ]
= 2 × 14 × 12
= 336cm².
Required Answer
- Total surface area of cuboid = 856cm².
- Lateral surface area of cuboid = 336cm².
