keep x=2

so

8-16+2a+b=0

2a+b=8         - 1

now if it should be divisible by x+1

keep x=-1

so

-1-4-a+b=0

b-a=5              - 2

subtract 2 from 1

2a+b-(-a+b)=8-5

2a+b+a-b=3

3a=3                             2(1)+b=8

a=1                                  b=4
