Given:-

Point (3, a) lies on the line represented by

2x-3 y=5

To find:-

Value of 'a'.

Solution:-

In point (3, a), x = 3 and y = a

So, putting the values in the equation,

=> 2(3) - 3(a) = 5

=> 6 - 3a = 5

=> 6 - 5 = 3a

=> a = (1/3)

Hence, value of 'a' is (1/3).
