1. Find the value of K if x-l is a factor of 4x' + 3x² - 4x + K.

The Fact that x-1 is a factor of

4x³+3x²-4x + k means that of 1 of his root is polynimal,i.e

4°1³ + 3°1²-4°1 + k = 0

It gives you k = -4 -3 + 4 = -3

k = 3

if x-1 is a factor of this

then x-1=1

then put the value of x as 1

4(1)+3(1)²-4(1)+k=0

4+3-4+k=0

7k=4

k=7-4

or 4-7
