 Let \: p(x) = 5x - 4x^{2} + 3

 i ) If \: x = -1 \:then \\value \: of \: p(-1) = 5(-1)-4(-1)^{2}+3 \\= -5 - 4 + 3 \\= -9 + 3 \\= -6

 ii ) If \: x = 0 \:then \\value \: of \: p(0) = 5(0)-4(0)^{2}+3 \\= 0 - 0+ 3 \\= 3

 iii) If \: x = 2 \:then \\value \: of \: p(2) = 5(2)-4(2)^{2}+3 \\= 10 - 16 + 3 \\= -6+ 3 \\= -3
