First we'll find the value of Y where x = 2

So , the equation is → 2x + y = 7

Substituting the value of x

  • 2 × 2 + y = 7
  • 4 + y = 7
  • y = 7 - 4
  • y = 3

Hence , the value of Y is 3

Now , finding the value of X where Y = 1

the equation is → 2x + y = 7

Substituting the value of y

  • 2x + 1 = 7
  • 2x = 7 - 1
  • 2x = 6
  • x = 3

Hence , the value of x is 3
