Given

(a) radius 6 cm, height 7 cm

(b) radius 3.5 cm, height 12 cm

To find

we have to find the volume of cylinder

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Volume of cone = πr²h÷3

(a) radius = 6cm , height = 7cm

Volume of cone = π*6²*7÷3

= 22/7*36*7÷3

= 22*36÷3

= 792/3

= 264cm³

(b) radius = 3.5cm, height = 12cm

Volume of cone = π*(3.5)²*12÷3

= 22/7*12.25*12/3

= 3.14*12.25*4

=38.46*4

=153.84cm³(approx)

More information:

πr²h/3

where , r is the radius and h is the height of the cone .

A cone having slant height and height .

height is the distance from the base of the cone to its vertex.

slant height = √ r² + h²

Total surface of cone = πrl + πr²
