HEYAA BUDDY

I) 24p² - 41p + 12

= 24p² - 32p - 9p + 12

= 8p(3p - 4) -3(3p - 4)

= (8p -3) (3p - 4)

hence, the roots are:

p = 3/8

p = 4/3

RELATION SHIP BETWEEN ZEROES:

3/8 +4/3 = 41/24 ie, -b/a

3/8 × 4/3 = 12/24 ie, c/a

II) 4y²-17y -21

=4y² - 21y + 4y - 21

= 4y(y+1) -21(y+1)

= (4y-21) (y+1)

hence the roots are:

y = 21/4

y = -1

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ZEROES:

21/4 + (-1) = 17/4 ie, -b/a

21/4 × (-1) = -21/4 ie, c/a
