Therefore,

7(X-5)= Y-5

7X-35= Y-5

7X-Y=-5+35

7X-Y= 30……………(1)

3(X+5)= Y+5

3X+15=Y+5

3X-Y=5-15

3X-Y= -10……….(2)

Now add both equations:

7X-Y=30

3X-Y= -10
