kx²-2√3kx +9=0

on comparing this eq with standard form of quadratic equation ax²+ bx+c =0

we get

a=k , b= 2√3k and c= 9

For real and equal roots

D=0

b²-4ac=0

(2√3k)² -4×k×9 = 0

12k² = 36k

12k = 36

k= 36/12

k=3
