according to question :-

{ x - (x+ 1)}^2 = 31

{x^2 - ( x^2 +1 + 2x)}= 31

x^2 - x^2 -1 -2x = 31

-2x = 32

x= 32/ -2

x = -16

then numbers are : ( -16 , -15) Answer
