1. Four identical pipes can fill a tank in 6 hours. How many of these pipes can fill the same tank in 8 hours?

2. If a tower casts a shadow 150 meters long at the same time that a tree measuring 12 meters in height casts a shadow 36 meters long, how long is the tower?

We have to do it with unitary method

so,

If in 6 hours 4 pipes can fill

then in 1 hour 6*4 pipes will

and in 8 hours 6*4/8 pipes can fill

the answer is 3 pipes

2)If 36 metre shadow is casted by 12 m tree

then 1 metre shadow is casted by a 12/36 m building or tree

and 150metre shadow is casted by a 12/36*150 building

so, the height of the building is 50m
