1.Four participants- Anu, Babli, Charu and Diya

which the first person to reach the finish line wins
. All four run at their
respective constant speeds from start to finish. The graph shows the distance
that each of them covers in the first 4 seconds from the starting point at a
constant speed.

anu can run 20 m in 4 s but babli runs only 16 m in 4 s

so babli takes 16m +4m = 20m

4+ 1 = 5 seconds

ans 5 sec

babli covers 16m in 4 seconds

so to calculate how much time more babli will take than anu to complete Is

to cover same distance as anu

16m in 4 seconds

then 20m in........(?)

20×4/16 = 5 seconds

so to complete 20m babli takes 9 seconds

as you can see there is a difference of 5seconds between anu and babli

so babli takes 5 more seconds to reach the finish line than anu
