Step-by-step explanation:

Let distance between tower and building be y metre.

Height of tower = 9 + x metres.

Consider theta = 60 °

tan 60° = height of building / distance between tower and building

√3 = 9/y

∴y = 9/√3 = 3√3 m

Now, consider theta = 30°

tan 30° = part of tower whose height is unknown (∵ x )/distance between tower and building

1/√3 = x/y

1/√3 = x/3√3

∴x=3√3/√3 = 3 metres.

∴Total height of tower = x + 9 = 3 + 9 = 12 metres.

Hope it helps!!!
