To every 1 g of C we need 2 g of O or converse of that.
Here we dont have 2 g of O so we have to take the converse, i.e,
to every 2 g of O we need 1 g of C
2:1
2x:x
1.5:x
2x = 1.5
x = 1.5 / 2 = 0.75
So 0.75 g of C completely reacts with 1.5 g of O
Here C is left in excess, and 1-0.75 = 0.25g of it is left
HOPE THIS HELPS ^_^
