Gravitational force is exactly proportional to the body's mass but...
When the body is suspended freely so it undergoes acceleration which is given earth's gravity and depends on the radius and mass of earth only.

All objects fall on ground with constant acceleration, called acceleration due to gravity (but condition is there are no air resistance!!).
This acceleration is a constant acceleration and does not depend upon the mass of an object. Hence, heavy objects do not fall faster than light objects.
