1. Herriot enjoyed the lavish meal during Trick’s stay but still, he felt compelled to inform Mrs Humphrey about the recovery of Tricky. Why did he not keep Tricky for a longer time? Did he feel concerned for Mrs Humphrey? Was it not in his attitude to break the trust others.

James Herriot was a good human being and a great doctor. His heart was full of compassion and concern for others. The moment Tricki got well, he informed Mrs. Humphrey about the recovery of Tricki. He knew she was missing him; though keeping Tricki with him quite lucrative, yet he informed her to take him home. This shows the author was a genuine and sensitive man. It was not in his attitude to break trust of others.
