Answer:

1) Yarns are made up of thin strands called fibers. The process of making yarn from fibers is calledT spinning. In this process, a mass of cotton wool are drawn out and twisted. This brings the fibers together to form yarn.

2) There are two methods used for weaving the yarn:

Lengthwise Weaving – In this method of weaving, the yarn is weaved up and down or lengthwise or longitudinal in the body of clothing. It is also called as the warp.

Crosswise Weaving – In this method of weaving, the yarn is weaved across the body of clothing.

3) Like human beings or mammals that can walk on their legs, reptiles or snakes cannot walk instead they make use of their body to move. In this snake moves its fore-part of the body and pulls the rest of its body. ...

4) Stem is like a two way street as it conducts water and minerals from the roots to the leaves and transport food prepared by the leaves to the other part of the plant.

3.ans.: Snakes do move in a straight line. This is called 'Rectilinear locomotion' which is one among the 5 most common types of locomotion observed in snakes. This movement in a straight line is commonly observed in Boa constrictors or Pythons (extremely useful while climbing trees)

All snakes are capable of the 5 kinds of locomotion.

4.ans.: The stem of a plant transports water and mineral salts in upward direction from roots to the leaves. At the same time the stem transports glucose in downward direction from the leaves to other parts of the plants. As stems regulate materials in both ways inside a plant it is considered as a street with vehicles moving in both the ways.
