Checking Overgrazing: Grazing is very important.

Constructing Dams: One of the scientific methods to check soil erosion.

2)The Indian soil, when compared with soil of any other country, is comparatively dry and requires adequate supply of water for the purpose of cultivation. Indian soil has been divided into four categories: (i) Alluvial Soil; (ii) Red Soil; (iii) Black Soil; (iv) Laterite Soil.
