We can measure the economic development through indicators of development like per capita income, sex ratio, infant mortality rate, etc.
We can be sure that with the increase in income people become more well off and sustain all the basic requirement of life.
Moreover if the sex ratio is low then that country is considered to be backward. Low infant mortality rate suggest that human resource,education,medical facility in that region isn't developed.
Infustries can be classified on the basis source of raw material,ownership,bulk or weight if raw material, size of capital investment and labour etc.
