The most basic and the most important thing that we can do to give value to the women's work,is to respect them and their works.

Women’s work has always been characterized as precarious, casual, informal, low-skilled, unskilled, unpaid, unrecognized, unvalued, undervalued and invisible. In a changing world that is dominated by neoliberalism and patriarchy, this characterization continues to dominate the lived reality of women. We challenge this characterization by advocating for the realization of equality and non-discrimination and for the re-conceptualization of the value of work. In this event, we will call for a paradigm shift that redefines the worth of women’s work in global value chains, of women migrant workers, women farmers, women garment workers, women in the informal economy, women sex workers and women in care and domestic work. We will argue that without recognition of universal human rights and fundamental freedoms women’s economic empowerment cannot be achieved.
