The poet A.P. Herbert was watching a play at a theatre. He was  watching the play which was full of suspense and mystery, for the first   time. A lady and her niece were sitting on the seats behind him. As the   play advanced the lady started narrating the plot before hand.  Therefore the poet knew that the lady had already seen the play
