Step-by-step explanation:

  • So we need to find the LCD of the expressions
  •   2y – 1 / y + 3x – 1 / x
  • Now lcd of this expression will be xy
  • So x(2y – 1) + y(3x – 1) /xy
  • Or we get x – 5xy + y / xy
  •   2x – 1 / 2x^2 + 5x + 2  + 3 / 2x + 2
  •    2x – 1 / (x + 2) (2x + 1) + 3 / 2(x + 1)
  •      ( 2x^2 + 5x + 2 will be
  • splitting the terms we get   2x^2 + 4x + x + 2
  •   Taking common terms we get   2x (x + 2) + 1(x + 2)
  •     Taking common we get     (x + 2)(2x + 1) )
  • So we get the LCD as (x + 2)(2x + 1) 2(x + 1)
  •   Next question is 2x – 1 / x + 2 – x + 1 / x – 2
  •      So we get
  • (2x – 1) (x – 2) – (x + 2) (x + 1) / (x + 2) (x – 2)
  •      So LCD will be (x + 2)(x – 2)
