ans. 1..the speaker feels embarrassed about his nose but seems to have accept it as something he has to live with since he cannot change it.

ans. 2....the speaker father told him that it was something he would get used to and that, if he taunted by children so he should remember that there will be bigger things to regret for and that his nose will grow still bigger.

ans. 3....the speakers mention elephants and rhinoceros because they also have big nose.

ans. 4....the speaker overstates by saying that when he sneezes the tree shed their leaves, that ladies faint at the sight of it and elephants and rhinoceros have smaller noses. it helps him to turn pages in the book and he also asked to cut a hole on the top of his casket so that he can smell the flowers when he dies.

ans.5... the poet seems to be trying to say that each one of us has some aspects of their appearance that we are not happy about. we should accept this gracefully and did not mind people commenting on it, then we will be able to live a positive and happy life....
