4)The poet while describing his which was unusually big for him exaggerates by saying that the grandeur of his nose lay in its big size and he was very proud of it. As a child, his nose was like a crown which he claimed his mother adored and his father told him not to worry much about what others say about his nose as there bigger things to worry about.
He went on to say that when he sneezed the trees around him would lose their leaves and many women on seeing his big nose would swoon away. According to the poet, people who would see his nose would say that they have seen smaller noses compared to the poet’s nose in rhinos and elephants.
The poet felt his nose gave him a regal look and helped him turn pages of the book. The poet’s nose is so big according to him, that even after his death he wants the person building his casket make a hole on top of it so that his big nose could smell flowers as he believes that his nose could smell flowers even after his death.
