Given Question :-

  • How many bulbs each of the resistance 12 should be connected in parallel to draw a current of 2A from a battery of 6V .

To Find:-

  • The number of bulbs .

Solution :-

We know that of n indentical resistances of value R are Connected in parallel then net resistance is given by , R/n . Now here ,

  • Current = 2A
  • Potential difference = 6V .
  • Resistance = 12Ω

On using formula ,

\boxed{\boxed{\red{\sf Voltage = (Current)(Resistance) }}}

⇒ V = I R

⇒ 6 V = 2A * 12/ n

⇒ 6V = 24A/n

⇒ n = 24 * 6

⇒ n = 144

Hence the number of resistances to be connected is 144 .

\Large\boxed{\pink{\sf \red{\bigstar}\:n(Resistances)=144}}
