The quantity of sugar to be mixed = 30 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x kg sugar mixed .

Now the rate of the sugar = 70 x

It will be mixed with 30 kg of sugar at rate 70 per kg.

So the total rate of mixture becomes = 70 x + 30 × 70 = 70 x + 2100 -------(1)

Rate of final mixture = 80 per kg

Quantity of final mixture = ( x + 30 ) kg

So the total rate of final mixture becomes = 80 × ( x + 30 ) ----------------------(2)

Equation (1) = Equation (2)

⇒ 70 x + 2100 = 80 × ( x + 30 )

⇒ 70 x + 2100 =  80 x + 2400

⇒ 300 = 10 x

⇒ x = 30 kg

This is the quantity of sugar to be mixed with the another quantity.
